Justifiable Homicide is a feature documentary based on the brutal murder of two Puerto Rican young men Antonio Rosario and Hilton Vega who were shot and killed by two NYPD detectives in the Bronx. The story follows Margarita Rosario, as she transforms from a mourning mother to a powerful community activist, questioning the police officers' actions and raising the possibility of a cover-up.
Time warp to the year 1999 and discover the soulful stories of eight subway musicians in the heart of New York City.
In 1999, while pursuing a degree in filmmaking at NYU/ Tisch School of the Arts, Jon Osman along with his buddy Jon Omori embarked on his first film project: a documentary short exploring the vibrant and eclectic world of New York City subway musicians. The project aimed to capture the raw talent, diverse cultures, and unique stories of these underground performers, offering a glimpse into the artistic heartbeat of the city.
However, the production remained incomplete and was set aside, becoming a forgotten chapter in Jon Osman's early career. Decades later, the long-lost footage was rediscovered, reigniting Jon Osman's passion for the project and resulting in 'SubwayTracks'.
